The benefit of getting funky: Tonic, Kaldera and Sub-sense raise money for Oxfam

On the 8 March 2005, Tonic, Kaldera and Sub-sense played a gig at Jagz Club in Ascot to raise money for Oxfam. There was a good turn out from the bands supporters and despite entry being just £2 a total of £268.52 was made on the night. All door money along with Tonic CD sales and extra donations, put in the big orange bucket that was passed around, went to the cause.

Also sales of the Josaka "Who?" compilation CDs donated by Josaka’s Kevin Harrington, in support of the night, helped get the total up. Since the 8 March, further sales of Tonic CD’s and the Josaka "Who?" CD have got the total raised for Oxfam up to £315.02.

So a big well done to the bands, the venue and all the people who went along and gave there support and donations.

Tonic's Next Gig

Tonics next gig is in Oxford at the Cellar Bar on Weds 30 March 2005.  This promises to be a great night of funky tunes and phat beats:

Venue: The Cellar, Frewincourt, Cornmarket Street, Oxford, OX1 3HZ.  01865 244761
Directions: The Cellar is down a little alleyway off Cornmarket street in the centre of Oxford. Next door to the Purple Turtle.
Time: Band is on at 10.30pm-11.30pm.  Happy hour is from 8pm til 10pm.
Entry: £4 or £3 with NUS card
